Private School Tuition at Southwest Florida Christian Academy

You want a high-quality education for your child — at a school that reinforces the same biblically based values you teach at home. That’s why an investment in tuition at a private Christian school is so important.

Southwest Florida Christian Academy, a private school in Fort Myers, FL, offers college-prep academics, its own leadership academy, a strong faith foundation, and a school culture that encourages and builds confidence in students from preschool to Grade 12.

We believe students throughout Lee County, FL, can benefit from an education at SFCA, so we are committed to making an excellent education accessible to as many families as possible. We know tuition can be challenging to fit into some families’ budgets, which is why we work with the Step Up for Students Scholarship program to offer income-based scholarships. Financial aid is also available through FACTS Grant and Aid.

SFCA accepts two income-based scholarships within the Step Up for Students Scholarship program: The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship and the Family Empowerment Scholarship-Educational Options. It’s easy to apply for these scholarships and for financial aid through FACTS. Start your application now, and we’ll be able to tell you exactly what your family’s tuition costs will be.

We have been equipping students to be godly leaders and engage the culture for Christ for more than 30  years. Our students feel welcomed, included, and prepared to pursue successful lives after graduation. How do we do it?

  • Students in our private kindergarten and elementary school focus on reading and writing — all while learning about God and developing problem-solving skills.
  • Our private middle school students benefit from small class sizes where they can be both challenged and supported academically. Teachers frame all subjects with a biblical worldview, and your child is encouraged to boldly exercise his or her faith.
  • Starting in middle school, students can explore interests through several extracurricular activities, including athletics, performing and practical arts courses, and service opportunities.
  • Students who attend our private high school can personalize their education and choose from honors courses, dual enrollment classes, and Advanced Placement.
  • Students of all ages attend daily Bible classes and weekly chapel services to help build Christian character. As students grow, they also have the opportunity to experience spiritual emphasis retreats.

Affording an SFCA Education

Are you worried that you either can’t afford our school — or that maybe you make too much to qualify for financial aid? You certainly aren’t alone. We hear those concerns a lot, and each time, we encourage families to explore the Step Up for Students scholarship programs as well as FACTS financial aid. Many families are (happily!) surprised to see that a high-quality private school education is within reach, after all.

“In February, my daughter told me her dream — to attend SFCA.  She was reluctant to tell us because she thought it wasn’t possible on our budget… and it’s not!  We decided we would take steps toward her dream, pray, and see what God would do, fully relying on Him to provide the funds. It has been such an amazing journey, trusting God and seeing His faithfulness and love in action for (our daughter). Yes, we are delighted and beyond thankful to receive the Financial Aid Award! (Our daughter) had the biggest smile on her face when we told her — and she’s even excited to get started on her summer work.  We appreciate all you have done to facilitate this precious gift!”

Frequently Asked Questions

How does SFCA determine if a family is eligible for financial aid?

We partner with FACTS, which is used by many independent schools across the country to analyze families’ financial data. Our school uses that analysis to determine financial aid eligibility.

Could applying for a scholarship or financial aid diminish the chances of my child being accepted at SFCA?

No. We welcome families of all economic backgrounds at SFCA, and our admission applications are reviewed separately from any financial aid information.

What do I need to know about Step Up for Students?

SFCA accepts two scholarships with the Step Up for Students Scholarship program. The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) and the Family Empowerment Scholarship-Education Options (FES-EO). Please visit the Step Up for Students website at www.stepupforstudents.org for more information. We are not able to accept funds from other scholarship funding organizations other than Step Up.

What should I do if I have chosen an Annual Payment Plan for FACTS and our Step Up scholarship is awarded after July 1?

For those who choose the Annual Payment Plan for FACTS tuition with payment collected by July 1, if your student is awarded a Step Up scholarship after the July 1st payment date, any tuition overpayment refund will not be processed until the end of the current school year. For students who have been awarded a Step Up scholarship, the FACTS tuition payment plan must be set-up as the Monthly option.
