Jeanine Laferriere

Prior Work Experience: I have taught in Miami-Dade County, Lake County, and Lee County Public Schools. Prior to teaching at SFCA, I taught at Rayma C. Page, Evangelical Christian School, and James Stephens International Academy.

What classes and grade level(s) do you teach? I teach first grade, all homeroom academic subjects.

Please tell us about yourself and your family. My husband and I enjoy spending time with our family and enjoying quality family time together.

Tell us something that we would be surprised to know about you. I love documentaries.

Describe how you feel God has called you to your particular career path. I feel that God brought me to SFCA because He has always ordered my steps, and this is exactly the right place where I should be.

In what particular ways do you hope to shape the learning or spiritual experience of our students here at SFCA? I hope to make a lasting difference in the lives of my students and share the Gospel with them. I love that I have the opportunity and the freedom to be able to do that at SFCA. I encourage my students every year with a Bible verse close to my heart: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

The SFCA mission statement: Southwest Florida Christian Academy, a ministry of McGregor Baptist Church, will partner with Christian parents to provide their children with a distinctively Biblical and academically excellent education that will equip students to be Godly leaders and to successfully engage the culture for Christ. How do you hope to accomplish this as a faculty/staff member? In keeping with our school mission statement, my goal is to partner with families and students and develop meaningful relationships, in order to provide a rich academic experience, grounded in the word of God.
